The RISE Foundation of the Jersey City Housing Authority is dedicated to empowering
residents through lifelong learning and opportunity. Guided by the values of Resilience,
Inspiration, Scholarship, and Empowerment, we support personal and professional growth by
providing access to scholarships, educational resources, and community programs that uplift
and foster success for our residents.

The Jersey City Housing Authority RISE Foundation is committed to empowering residents
through education, opportunity, and community support. Established to promote personal and
professional growth, the foundation provides access to scholarships, educational resources, and

Elizabeth Phillips-Lorenzo
Elizabeth Phillips-Lorenzo is the Director of the RISE Foundation, where she leads with passion and a deep commitment to her community. With a focus on empowering Jersey City Housing Authority residents, Elizabeth champions opportunities for education, personal growth,
and long-term success. Her leadership is defined by dedication, compassion, and an
unwavering belief in the potential of every individual she serves.
Social Media & Marketing Coordinator
Ahmya Malik
Ahmya Malik serves as the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator for the RISE Foundation, where she bridges the gap between the organization and the community through intentional, impactful storytelling. She leads all content creation and digital engagement efforts while also promoting, planning, and supporting RISE Foundation events. Through strategic marketing and
authentic community-focused messaging, Ahmya helps amplify the Foundation’s mission and connect residents to opportunities and resources.
Community Outreach Coordinator
Kimora Sweeney
Kimora serves as the Community Outreach Coordinator for the RISE Foundation, where she is dedicated to identifying meaningful ways to best support the community. She actively builds and maintains partnerships with large corporations and organizations to collaborate on initiatives that enhance resources and opportunities for residents. Through relationship-building and strategic coordination, Kimora plays a key role in strengthening community connections and
advancing the Foundation’s mission.
